After completing a small site using Squarespace, the founder of NAAO, Charlotte Murphy, wanted to expand the site to encompass the NAAO archive and begin to digitize and build out this important historical resource. This is a deep dive into the preservation of an archive requiring some creativity in highlighting the surviving information in living and breathing ways.
Practically, this required a full code customization and UX forward filter/search for sorting a large archive of dated documents. We also worked on an updated logo and graphical system.

I have been working on projects for them for about 7 years: editing content, designing and developing their original website and then directing a redesign in 2022. When we reconnected I developed a scalable design system in Webflow and collaborated with the client using Miro and Figma to identify and write/design them a voice that felt more human and unique to their company's mission. I also developed a custom filter system that made their site searchable by brand, activation and client.
